El desmontaje
Jimena Márquez
Playwright and director Jimena Márquez places herself on stage to dismantle the most relevant theatrical experience of her life. A hybrid between a lecture, a documentary and a play, which tables an ever-told story about an event that happened in the halls of the theatrical circuit of Uruguay in 2004, in which the myth of Dionisius is intertwined with biographical events in dialogue with a documentary in which several personalities from the Uruguayan theatre testify.

Criticism
“Jimena Márques is one of the most original theatremakers of the 21st century. It is noteworthy how she alternates between theatre and carnival, without us accepting not even for a minute the fact that the latter is not theatre, but recognizing the difference in location and codes between theatre - let’s call it “conventional”- and the Momo party”.
