Oficina de Donaciones de Historias de Amor (Love Stories Donation Desk) is a participative poetic action or a ficticious pop-up institution that collects true love stories from voluntary donors and transfers them to anyone who needs them for any reason whatsoever.

We offer our free and confidential services, for example, to people who wish or need to marry to obtain asylum or work visa and residence permit in our country but are not ‘real couples’, and therefore need to invent and perform a love story in official interviews for marriage validation and other bureaucratic procedures to which they have to go through.

In these interviews, conducted in the courts and registry offices in our country, they verify if a couple is a ‘real couple’ by asking each of the lovers the same set of questions separately. Their answers are verified and their love story is examined based on official criteria on what is legally accepted as a couple.

In the case of the Love Stories Donation Desk, the people in the audience who want to participate by donating their love stories will be asked to complete a questionnaire of this kind.

Donated stories that pass the test form part of our open and anonymous archive and the audience can request them for whichever poetic, sentimental or bureaucratic purpose.
